A sound recordist mainly focuses on recording sound for commercials, documentaries, corporate videos and social media. While a production sound mixer usually manages a whole sound team on larger film and TV projects, a sound recordist usually takes care of all the sound recording tasks on their own.

The sound recordist captures sound using field recorders and carefully selected microphones. They monitor levels, sync cameras to timecode and manage wireless frequencies to avoid any interference. Ultimately, they ensure the audio on set is pristine and ready for post-production.

While my usual rate includes my standard kit the final rate will depend on the project’s specifics, filming duration and required equipment. Please share your project details with me and I’ll be happy to get you a quote.
